I began creating a birth playlist long before I found out that I was pregnant. When the two pink lines finally appeared, I went straight to work researching songs and thinking about what I would want to hear during labor and while giving birth.
I chose some songs because they had a special meaning to me, some because they had a peaceful melody and all of them because I wanted them to remind me of the little life I was bringing into the world. These songs became the soundtrack to my pregnancy. I listened to them while feeling tiny kicks as I drove to work at 7 months pregnant, breathed through them during my 26 hours of labor, and now, dancing in our pajamas to them with my one year old little girl.
