Meet This Mama: Two Under Two!

How old are your little ones?

A1: My son is just 2 years old, and daughter is 4 months old.

You had two kids under two! How was that for you as a mom?

A2: Having two under two is definitely a challenge most of the time, the most important part was finding a schedule that worked. Luckily, the baby is a very good sleeper, and following in the same pattern as her brother, so we are already getting a good nights sleep in under 4 months.

How did you prepare your son for the birth of his little sister?

A3: Honestly, I didn't do much preparing for her to come. Mainly I just kept mentioning that "sister is coming" and to "kiss my belly" etc, but someone gave me the advice that once she is born to always include the older sibling with every activity even changing her diaper. Now he loves her so much and always wants to hug and kiss sister on the forehead.

How did you manage taking a short 6 week maternity leave?

A4: Returning to work after 6 weeks wasn't too hard, however I wouldn't be able to do it without my support system. My mother-in-law helps watch the kids on the days that both my husband and I are out of the house. I will say with no regret that working for me is a blessing because it is the mental break that I need! The hardest part has been finding time to exercise. I just have to try and fit it into my schedule for the day.

What would you say is the best thing about being a mom?

A5: The best thing about being a mom is watching my babies grow up to be independent! Time really does fly, so I am taking each moment day by day, and living mom life with no regret.
