Reducing Your Workload After Baby

We recently sat with Courtney, who, along with her husband Mitch, is the proud parent of two children: Maxwell 2 , and Madelyn 3 months.

1. Tell us about your family?

My husband Mitch and I are the proud parents of two children: Maxwell 2 , and Madelyn 3 months.

2. What lead you to reduce your work load after baby #2?

My career as a Child Life Specialist has lead me to become the person and mother I am today! I have always wanted to be a mother and have a career. It just feels right to scale back and stay home with my sweet babies. Working part time I will be able to have both, but stay sane. The years go by fast! I want to cherish those moments I have with my children.

3. Was it a difficult decision to make?

It is always a difficult decision to scale back something you love to do, but I knew I would be able to give my best self to my children.

4. How have you been enjoying your time with your kids since becoming a family of 4?

It has been challenging as parks and activities have been closed for our 2 year old since Madelyn was born. My husband has moved from working in a office to working from home everyday! We have made adjustments, and learned to have patience with ourselves and kids! Being home 24/7 as a family of 4 is something we will never forget and will cherish these moments.

5. What do you like the most about being a mom?

I am so thankful. The bond and unconditional love is priceless!
